This project involved the supply of a 10 ton Single Girder Overhead Crane for a customer in Georgia, designed specifically for lifting heavy plastic molds in a plastic products manufacturing facility. The customer required a reliable lifting system with high positioning accuracy and, most importantly, a special structure to overcome the limited installation space inside the workshop. Through detailed communication and technical cooperation, SEVENCRANE provided a customized low headroom solution that perfectly matched the customer's factory conditions.
The ordered crane is an SNHD European type single girder overhead crane with a lifting capacity of 10 tons, a span of 15.142 meters, and a lifting height of 10 meters. The crane is designed with an A5 working class, making it suitable for frequent lifting operations in industrial production environments. Equipped with a remote control system and powered by a 380V, 50Hz, 3-phase electrical supply, the crane provides convenient operation, stable performance, and improved workplace safety.
During the initial inquiry, the customer highlighted a critical challenge: the available installation space between the runway rail and the top of the workshop was extremely limited. The distance from the crane rail to the lowest point of the factory roof was only 1000 mm. Under normal crane configurations, the standard main girder structure could not meet the customer's requirements. Therefore, the customer requested a lower headroom design to maximize the lifting height while fitting within the existing workshop structure.
To solve this problem, SEVENCRANE’s technical team carefully reviewed the customer's factory drawings and developed a customized crane design. The optimized structure adopted a special lowered main girder arrangement, allowing the crane to operate efficiently within the limited headroom space. The production drawings clearly showed the cutting and connection positions of the crane beam, enabling the customer to fully understand the installation method and confirm the feasibility before production.
The customer also requested that the crane be equipped with a 10mm² conductor bar system with a total length of 60 meters. This complete electrical solution ensures stable power supply during crane operation and improves the reliability of long-distance movement inside the workshop.
Throughout the communication process, the customer maintained high requirements for technical details and customization. Since this was the first cooperation between the two parties, the customer carefully evaluated the design, price, and service capability. After receiving the customized drawings and confirming that the low headroom structure met their needs, the customer requested a reasonable discount. After negotiation, both parties reached an agreement, and the order was successfully confirmed.
Considering the customer's concerns as a first-time partner, the payment terms were adjusted to 30% TT advance payment and 70% TT before shipment, providing additional confidence for the cooperation. The agreed delivery time was 25 working days, with shipment arranged by FOB Qingdao.
