This project highlights the successful delivery of a 100-ton Rubber Tyred Gantry Crane (RTG) to a long-term customer in Costa Rica, demonstrating strong cooperation built since the first contact in 2022. As a returning client, the customer once again selected our solution due to consistent product quality, reliable performance, and professional service support.
The equipment supplied is a 100T RTG crane designed for heavy-duty material handling applications. With a span of 16.2 meters and a lifting height of 10 meters, the crane is engineered to handle large and heavy loads efficiently, making it suitable for ports, logistics yards, and industrial storage areas. The working class is A3, ensuring stable operation under medium-duty conditions while maintaining long service life and durability.
One of the key features of this project is the full hydraulic system, which enhances operational efficiency and ensures smooth, precise control during lifting and traveling. The crane is also equipped with a lifting beam, enabling it to handle specialized loads more effectively. This configuration is particularly useful for handling containers, oversized cargo, or customized lifting tasks, providing flexibility for various operational scenarios.
To meet different operational requirements, the RTG crane supports dual control modes, including wireless remote control and a driver cabin. The remote control option allows operators to manage lifting tasks from a safe distance with flexibility, while the cabin provides a stable and comfortable working environment for long-duration operations. This dual-mode design improves both safety and efficiency on-site.
Unlike traditional electrically powered cranes, this RTG is equipped with an independent generator set, making it highly adaptable to outdoor environments where fixed power supply may not be available. This feature significantly enhances mobility and allows the crane to operate efficiently across different working areas without relying on external power infrastructure.
In addition to the main equipment, we also supplied essential spare parts, including remote controls, wheels with hubs, and other standard spare components. These spare parts ensure easy maintenance and reduce downtime, supporting continuous and efficient operation throughout the crane’s lifecycle.
The project required a relatively long production cycle of 100 working days, reflecting the complexity and customization involved in manufacturing such heavy-duty equipment. Despite the challenges, strict quality control was maintained at every stage of production, ensuring that the final product met all technical and performance requirements.
The shipment was arranged via sea freight under CIF Caldera port terms, ensuring a smooth and reliable delivery process to Costa Rica. In addition, the project included installation guidance services, where our professional engineers provided technical support to assist with on-site installation and commissioning. This ensures that the equipment can be put into operation quickly and safely.
Another important aspect of this project is that the documentation and delivery requirements were aligned with a previous order (Order 385), ensuring consistency and simplifying the customer’s import and operational processes. This attention to detail reflects our commitment to providing a seamless customer experience.
Overall, this 100T RTG crane project demonstrates our capability to deliver large-scale, customized lifting solutions with high efficiency and reliability. By combining advanced technology, flexible configurations, and comprehensive service support, we continue to meet the evolving needs of global customers.
As industries demand more efficient and mobile heavy-lifting solutions, RTG cranes remain a key choice for improving productivity and operational flexibility. This successful project further strengthens our partnership with the Costa Rican customer and reinforces our position as a trusted supplier in the international crane market.
