SEVENCRANE recently completed another successful project for a long-term customer in Bolivia, supplying a customized 7-ton mobile gantry crane for an indoor workshop. The customer is an experienced intermediary who has maintained cooperation with SEVENCRANE since the first contact in September 2023. Based on the customer's satisfaction with previous lifting equipment and our ability to provide customized solutions, the customer returned to SEVENCRANE with a new project.
Project Background and Customer Requirements
The customer required one PT3 steel mobile gantry crane with a lifting capacity of 7 tons, a span of 7 meters, and a lifting height of 4.55 meters. The crane is designed for indoor workshop applications, where reliable and flexible material handling is essential for daily production and equipment movement.
The crane is configured with an A5 working class and operated by remote control. The power supply is 380V, 50Hz, 3-phase, with a standard finish. To meet the customer's specific operating requirements, the traveling speeds were also clearly defined.
The required gantry traveling speed is 5 m/min, while the trolley traveling speed is also 5 m/min. The total equipment height is limited to 5.4 meters, requiring careful consideration of the structural design and component arrangement to ensure that the crane can operate effectively within the customer's workshop.
Another important requirement was the use of dual drive wheels, with the structure and drive arrangement manufactured according to the customer's drawings. This customized configuration helps ensure that the crane is compatible with the customer's actual working environment and operational requirements.
A Long-Term Customer Relationship
Unlike a first-time inquiry, this project came from a returning customer who had already worked with SEVENCRANE on previous lifting equipment. The customer's earlier purchases included chain hoists and wire rope hoists, providing a solid foundation of trust between both parties.
During the previous cooperation, the customer was highly satisfied with SEVENCRANE's product quality, technical communication, and ability to provide solutions based on the requirements of the end user. This positive experience played an important role in the customer's decision to continue working with SEVENCRANE for the new gantry crane project.
As an intermediary, the customer needed to meet the technical expectations of the final end user. Therefore, simply providing a standard product was not enough. The customer expected SEVENCRANE to make appropriate design modifications based on the actual application conditions.
Customized Design Based on the End User's Needs
After receiving the new requirements, SEVENCRANE's technical team reviewed the customer's specifications and drawings carefully. Based on the original solution, the design was further modified to meet the requirements of the end user's indoor workshop.
Particular attention was paid to the overall height, traveling speeds, drive configuration, span, lifting height, and wheel arrangement. The dual-drive configuration was designed according to the provided drawings, while the overall crane dimensions were optimized to keep the equipment height within the required 5.4-meter limit.
This project demonstrates the importance of communication between the manufacturer, intermediary, and end user. By understanding the actual application rather than simply supplying a standard configuration, SEVENCRANE was able to provide a more suitable mobile gantry crane solution.
Efficient Delivery and Continued Cooperation
The final order included one 7-ton PT3 mobile gantry crane, with a delivery period of only 20 working days. The equipment will be shipped by sea under EXW factory terms, with payment arranged as 30% TT in advance and 70% before shipment.
For SEVENCRANE, this project is more than a single equipment order. It represents the continuation of a long-term customer relationship built on product quality, technical expertise, and reliable service.
