This project involves the successful supply of two European-style single girder overhead cranes to a long-term customer in Costa Rica. As a repeat client, the customer once again selected SEVENCRANE for reliable lifting solutions, reflecting strong trust in our product quality and service efficiency. The order was completed within 20 working days and shipped in a 40-foot container under CIF Caldera terms, ensuring smooth delivery to the Port of Caldera, Costa Rica.
Project Overview and Commercial Terms
The customer placed the order under a TT payment structure of 30% advance payment and 70% balance before shipment, which enabled us to initiate production promptly while ensuring smooth financial coordination. The CIF Caldera trade term required SEVENCRANE to manage freight arrangements and marine insurance, providing the customer with a convenient and cost-effective logistics solution.
With a delivery timeline of 20 working days, our production and logistics teams coordinated closely to ensure that manufacturing, inspection, packing, and container loading were completed efficiently without compromising quality standards.
Technical Specifications of the Overhead Cranes
The project includes two units of European single girder overhead cranes, model SNHD10t-23.05m-7m, both equipped with remote control operation. Each crane has a rated lifting capacity of 10 tons, a span of 23.05 meters, and a lifting height of 7 meters. This configuration is specifically designed to meet the customer’s workshop layout and operational requirements, providing wide coverage and stable lifting performance for medium-to-heavy duty applications.
The cranes are designed with a European-style compact structure, which ensures optimized headroom and improved space utilization inside the facility. Compared with traditional crane designs, this configuration offers lighter self-weight, smoother operation, and higher working efficiency, while maintaining strong rigidity and structural stability.
Electrical and Operational Requirements
One of the key technical requirements for this Costa Rica project was the customized power supply configuration of 480V, 60Hz, fully aligned with the local industrial electrical standard. All motors, control systems, and electrical components were carefully selected and tested to ensure compatibility with this voltage specification, guaranteeing stable and safe operation after installation.
Both cranes are equipped with electric chain hoists as requested by the customer. Special attention was given to the limited headroom requirement, referencing the previous Order No. 636 project to ensure design consistency. In particular, careful engineering consideration was applied to the chain hoist pin length issue, which directly affects installation accuracy and available lifting height. By optimizing the connection structure and verifying assembly dimensions in advance, we ensured that the final solution met the restricted height condition without compromising safety or performance.
Traveling Speed and Performance Optimization
The crane traveling mechanisms for both long travel and cross travel are designed with adjustable speed ranges from 2 to 20 meters per minute, providing flexible handling capabilities. This variable speed configuration allows operators to achieve smooth acceleration and deceleration, reducing mechanical impact and improving positioning accuracy during lifting operations. Such performance optimization is particularly beneficial in facilities where heavy loads must be handled precisely within limited operational space.
Quality Assurance and Long-Term Cooperation
Before shipment, both cranes underwent strict quality inspection, including dimensional checks, structural inspection, electrical testing, and no-load operation testing. Packaging was carefully arranged to maximize container space utilization in the 40-foot container while ensuring that all components were securely protected during sea transportation.
This project once again demonstrates SEVENCRANE’s ability to provide customized crane solutions for international markets while strictly adhering to client-specific technical standards. The successful execution of this order not only strengthens our long-term cooperation with the Costa Rican customer but also highlights our commitment to delivering reliable, high-performance overhead crane systems tailored to diverse industrial environments.
