Explosive-proof Overhead Crane for Russian Market

The cooperation between SEVENCRANE and our long-term Russian customer once again demonstrates our manufacturing capabilities in customized lifting equipment, especially in the field of explosion-proof overhead crane systems. For this project, the customer required a European-standard explosion-proof single girder overhead crane with specific configurations suited for industrial applications in Russia, as well as compliance with regional documentation requirements.

The transaction was based on EXW terms, with delivery scheduled within 50 working days and transportation arranged via inland logistics to support the customer’s network inside Russia. The payment was completed through a standard T/T 30% arrangement, following the customer’s internal procurement procedures. The first contact for this order dates back to October 2024, when the Russian client presented the technical specification and requested both competitive pricing and full compliance with EAC certification details.

Technical Configuration and Performance Requirements

The supplied equipment consisted of one set of explosion-proof European type single girder overhead crane, model SNHD, work duty A5. The rated lifting capacity is 10 tons with a span of 10.5 meters and a lifting height of 16 meters. The crane adopts both remote control and pendant control modes, with electrical parameters of 380V, 50Hz, 3-phase power supply. The equipment includes a matching 10-ton lifting device based on the provided drawing and meets standard explosion-proof hoisting requirements.

In addition to essential crane specifications, the customer emphasized several critical non-standard requirements. The explosion-proof rating of the system must reach BT4, suitable for industrial environments involving combustible gas or dust. The main beam structure adopts a European low-headroom design and does not require segmentation during shipment, ensuring rigidity and stress performance throughout the operational lifespan.

Mechanical Structure and Operational Features

This single girder overhead crane is designed with flexibility and durability in mind, operating on KP70 crane rails with a total runway length of 21 meters. Flexible flat cable and C-type steel channels were integrated to ensure stable power transmission and smooth trolley travel. The trolley mechanism features two running motors for improved torque control and better synchronization under heavy-duty load conditions.

To guarantee safety during long-term operation, the crane is equipped with anti-seismic clamps and end stops on all four ends. In addition, the design includes an inspection platform for the hoist, facilitating maintenance procedures and minimizing downtime for the customer’s production line.

Documentation and Compliance for Russian Equipment Market

Compliance with Russian regulations is an essential aspect of exporting lifting equipment to the region. The customer specifically requested that equipment models shown on invoices match the names used in their EAC certification to avoid customs and regulatory inconsistencies. Furthermore, SEVENCRANE provided the necessary documentation related to the crane passport requirements for Russian distributors, allowing seamless registration and operational approval after installation.

Conclusion

This project highlights SEVENCRANE’s capability to deliver customized single girder overhead crane solutions that integrate European mechanical standards, explosion-proof classifications, and Russian market documentation systems. With long-term cooperation and accumulated export experience, SEVENCRANE continues to support industrial users in Russia through stable supply, technical adaptability, and comprehensive service solutions.
