Jib Crane Solution for High-Altitude Mining Operations in Kyrgyzstan

In demanding industrial environments such as mining and mineral extraction, the selection of reliable and efficient lifting equipment is critical. This project highlights the successful delivery of a customized jib crane solution to a gold mining operation in Kyrgyzstan, where performance, safety, and adaptability were key decision factors.

The customer, an end user in the mining industry, operates in a high-altitude environment at approximately 4,500 meters above sea level. Such extreme conditions present unique challenges, including reduced air density, low temperatures, and increased mechanical stress on equipment. Therefore, the client required a jib crane system that could maintain stable and safe operation under these harsh conditions while ensuring high working efficiency.

According to the project specifications, three sets of BZ type jib cranes were supplied. Each unit features a lifting capacity of 2 tons, a working radius of 6 meters, and a lifting height of 3.5 meters. The cranes are classified under A4 duty class, making them suitable for medium-duty operations with frequent use. For enhanced flexibility and ease of operation, the cranes are equipped with both pendant control and remote control systems, allowing operators to choose the most convenient control method based on the working environment.

To meet the client’s operational requirements, each jib crane is fitted with an electric chain hoist, ensuring smooth and efficient lifting performance. The power supply is configured at 380V, 50Hz, 3-phase, in line with local industrial standards. Additionally, detailed foundation drawings were provided to the customer prior to production, ensuring proper installation and structural stability on-site.

One of the most critical aspects of this project was the customer’s strong emphasis on safety and service quality. Given the complexity of operating in a high-altitude mining site, the client required on-site commissioning by a professional engineer. In response, a comprehensive installation and commissioning service package was offered, including a 7-day on-site support plan covering technical guidance, system testing, and operator training. Upon completion, a detailed installation and commissioning report was provided to ensure full transparency and compliance with project requirements.

From a logistics perspective, the project was executed under DAP (Delivered at Place) terms, with the destination set as Balykchy, Kyrgyzstan. Although the production cycle was completed within 15 working days, the total contract delivery timeline was set at 60 days to accommodate inland transportation and customs clearance. The use of land transportation ensured a cost-effective and reliable delivery process.

Throughout the communication process, the customer demonstrated high expectations regarding product reliability and after-sales service. By providing timely technical support, detailed documentation, and a tailored solution, the project successfully addressed all customer concerns and established a strong foundation for future cooperation.

This case clearly demonstrates how a well-designed jib crane system can deliver outstanding performance even in the most challenging environments. With its robust structure, flexible operation, and high safety standards, the jib crane has become an indispensable solution for modern mining applications, particularly in remote and high-altitude regions.
