Precautions for Dismantling Gantry Crane

A gantry crane is a deformation of an overhead crane. Its main structure is a portal frame structure, which supports the installation of two legs under the main beam and walks directly on the ground track. It has the characteristics of high site utilization, wide operating range, wide applicability, and strong universality.

In construction, gantry cranes are mainly used for lifting operations in areas such as material yards, steel processing yards, prefabrication yards, and subway station construction work wellheads.During the dismantling process of a gantry crane, the following safety precautions should be taken into consideration.

1. Before dismantling and transferring the gantry crane, the dismantling plan should be determined based on the equipment and site environment on site, and safety technical measures for dismantling should be formulated.

2. The demolition site should be level, the access road should be unobstructed, and there should be no obstacles above. Meet the requirements for truck cranes, transportation vehicles entering and exiting the site, and lifting operations.

3. Safety warning lines should be set up around the demolition site, and necessary safety signs and warning signs should be set up.

4. Before the demolition operation, the tools and required materials used should be inspected, and the demolition should be carried out strictly in the reverse order of the demolition plan and installation.

5. When dismantling the main beam, cable wind ropes must be pulled on both rigid and flexible support legs. Then dismantle the connection between the rigid support legs, flexible support legs, and the main beam.

6. After removing the lifting steel wire rope, it needs to be coated with grease and wrapped in a wooden drum for placement.

7. Mark the components according to their relative positions, such as lines and text.

8. Separation components should also be minimized as much as possible based on transportation conditions.
